The lotmatrix team
welcomes characters in all their forms. Well Dvon is not an exemption. He is seen as a man of an exceptional ability. He has
come from a far off distant world. His nature is one of a kind; dark and deep. His life is mystifying. And his language, even
more bewildering.
On July '04, we were
given a magnificent opportunity, to speak in person with the great man. In his large, aristocratic home, we were given the chance
to follow Dvon around the entire day in his daily errands. However for such an "interesting fellow", we discovered
he wasn't very interesting. The day was a mighty let down. We only travelled to two different rooms the entire day. The kitchen
and the toilet. And when we say travel, we used motorised, electric wheel chairs, to go from room to room. In fact he was
so lazy, when the wheel chair battery power ran done, he simply stock piled them in a skip and got a new one.
The reason why Mr.Dvon
appeared so dark from afar, was because he had never seen the light of day. However his monotonous and indolent character
was further assured when we realised the difficulty in his language. He was using a small dwarf, who he named, Ben to speak
for him. The small man was Dvons hugely ineffective translator.
We then decided that
Dvon needed a life boost. We searched extensively for a way to change his life for the better. But no women were to be found
that would trouble themselves with him. However it was at this time when we came up with the admirable idea for the movie.
We asked the tiny translator would Dvon be at all interested. The response was unclear.
"I like cheese, Sunday
good for you."
So we made our
own interpretation, that he meant that he would be most pleased and privileged to be co-creating a film about his life. Well
obviously since then the movie has developed into something more than just a 45 second clip to a full scale saga. And of course
so has the personality of Dvon. He now is a pretty talkative guy who on Sundays WALKS to the exercise room kitchen. We are
pleased with our little Dvon, a great friend and a good man, however there is still one snag. He still uses his translator,
who by the default made it on to the movie.
